When you study engineering at Detroit Mercy, your college experience is about so much more than what you've learned in the classroom - it's about taking that knowledge and using it to make your mark on the world by helping others.

You'll be encouraged to get involved in research projects and build an online portfolio in your freshman year.  Our co-op opportunities mean you'll graduate with real, paid work experience.  Don't worry if all this seems a little overwhelming, our dedicated faculty will be there to offer support and guidance every step of the way.

Engineering and Computer Science Programs

Our Disciplines

Architectural Engineering

A hand on an architectural design You'll gain hands-on, real-world experience through our mandatory co-operative education program.  During the 5-year program, you'll have three semesters of professional engineering experience under your belt.

Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering student messing with molds You may work on airports, bridges, buildings, canals, environmental cleanup, highways, industrial facilities, piers, pipelines, roads, site planning. Civil Engineering is the most diverse engineering field. 

Environmental Engineering

You could make the world a better place by working on environmental projects like water, air pollution, recycling or waste disposal. As a student, you'll solve real engineering problems for a community partner.

Electrical & Computer Engineering
