Center of Automotive Systems Engineering Education dedicated to William L. Kozyra

More than 200 students, faculty and alumni attended the dedication of the 5,200 square foot Center for Automotive Systems Engineering event dedicated to William L. Koyzra ’80 on September 30.

“Tonight represents the culmination of two years of effort in fundraising, strategic and financial planning and construction,” said Dr. Gary Kuleck, dean of the College of Engineering and Science.  “We are very thankful to our industry partners and individuals who bring the Center to fruition.”

The Center of Automotive Systems Engineering Education provides a facility that houses a student-centered, hands-on training and cutting-edge integrative curricula with a focus on professional practice.

“The Center affirms our College’s century old commitment to prepare engineers of all disciplines with the knowledge, skills and entrepreneurial aptitude to be successful,” said Kuleck.  “The College’s focus is early career success many of our graduates have gone on to become chief engineers, managers, directors, presidents and CEOs of engineering and automotive companies on a national and global stage.”

The Center was dedicated to Kozyra in recognition of his financial contributions and for being a passionate advocate for the College.

Koyzra is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of TI Automotive.
