Engineer your future

October 27, 2016

More than 50 high school seniors and their families learned about Detroit Mercy’s engineering programs at a special event on October 27.

The program, Engineer Your Future, was hosted by industry partner, Walbridge, in their headquarters located downtown Detroit office.

Engineer your future at Walbridge

Students and parents heard about the exciting undergraduate engineering programs at Detroit Mercy from the College’s dean and alumni working at Walbridge.  Students also had time to speak one-on-one with engineering faculty and alumni about the engineering programs.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for students to see how a Detroit Mercy engineering degree leads to full-time employment at graduation,” said Dr. Gary Kuleck, Dean of the College of Engineering & Science.  “We have many wonderful industry partners such as Walbridge where our students complete their mandatory co-op placements which often lead to full-time employment.”

The College of Engineering & Science is committed to preparing well-rounded engineering professionals with cutting-edge curriculum and instruction with a focus on hands-on experiential learning.  Students are prepared to enter their professional careers with a strong sense of their overall role in contributing to the community and greater society.
