The third-place team from Trinity Lutheran School, Team 2, Utica, at the Future Cities Michigan regional competition thanks University of Detroit Mercy for its participation and judging earlier this month.

“Together, we can really move the needle and guide students towards STEM careers,” said Elana Shelef, director of corporate relations and education outreach at The Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD).

ESD is a proud sponsor of this event.

The Future City competition challenges students to design a SimCity, research and write a city description, build a model, develop a project plan and present their plan to judges for prizes and a chance to compete in the national competition in Washington, DC.
